Rockville, MD – The 2023-2024 season has ended for the Raptors, as they fall to Howard CC in the Region 20 quarterfinals.
MC started the game off strong, pressuring the Dragons into mistakes, and hitting multiple shots in the paint and beyond the three-point line. The Raptors finished the quarter leading 26-15. However, the Dragons continued to play tough defense in the second quarter and multiple defensive breakdowns by the Raptors left Howard CC with wide-open three-point shots, leading to a big comeback. The teams went into halftime with Howard CC leading 38-35. MC was never able to regain the lead again in the game, and the night ended with a 71-56 loss at home, eliminating the Raptors from the Region 20 basketball tournament.
The Raptors completed another successful season, led by head coach Tarlouh Gasque. The team finished with an 18-8 overall record (9-2 in the conference) and will have several returners on the team for the 2024-2025 season.
