Montgomery College Raptors Women's Basketball Defeats Lackawanna College Falcons 76-62

The Raptors moved to 3-1 overall on the season after earning a solid 76-62 victory over the Lackawanna College Falcons in a competitive matchup. The energy was high from the start for the Raptors, who were eager to get back on the court after sunday's tough loss to Monroe University. MC took the lead from the start and never looked back, despite plenty of momentum swing attempts from the Falcons. Tuesday evening saw an energetic crowd in the Rockville gymansium and the team fed off the crowd throughout the whole night. 

Leading the charge for the Raptors was #1 Litzy Lujan-Gonzales, who put together a stellar performance with a game-high 19 points, along with 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Her versatile playmaking and scoring were crucial in keeping the Falcons at bay. In the front court, #12 Kennedy Clifton was a dominant force, finishing with a double-double—10 points and 12 rebounds—while providing strong defensive presence and securing key boards for the Raptors. The bench also provided a spark, led by #4 Janet Egelebo, who finished the game with 10 points. #5 Yaheera Williams was another domininant force in the paint, walking away with a game-high 13 rebounds while also putting 8 points on the scoreboard. 

It's been a busy week for the Raptors, having played 3 games in 4 days. They now will enjoy a few days off before traveling to Chesapeake College on Tuesday, November 19th to open up conference play.
