Strength and Conditioning

We educate, serve and empower our student-athletes to cultivate an intercollegiate program that demonstrates academic and athletic excellence. Our vision is to create a positive atmosphere where students experience physical and intellectual growth. In addition, we aim to produce student-athletes who are prepared to serve as leaders in their state, local and global communities.

STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING VISION AND MISSION

Our student-athletes have their bodies and minds challenged throughout our rigorous strength and conditioning program to achieve physical feats and develop mental fortitude. Our student-athletes come to us from diverse backgrounds and leave our program with an understanding of grit and an upper hand to grow during and beyond the competitive years of collegiate athletics. In the weight room, track and gymnasium, we continue to encourage teamwork and sacrifice. All of our students understand that preparing yourself for your sport is not an overnight process. Becoming the best version of themselves takes continued effort over an extended period.

PHILOSOPHY

Montgomery College Strength and Conditioning strives to enhance athletic performance and self-confidence. While using appropriate equipment and exercise routines, student-athletes will minimize injury and increase their athletic capacity. In addition, we will educate student-athletes on proper lifting techniques, safe ranges of motion, energy systems, and suitable nutritional protocols.
