
KEYSER, W.Va. – WVU Potomac State College pulled off a thrilling fourth-quarter comeback to defeat Montgomery College (MD) 68-66 in a hard-fought battle at Lough Gym on February 16, 2025.
The Catamounts trailed by five heading into the final quarter but erupted for 25 points in the final frame to secure the victory. Elizabeth Pryor and Hannah Ault led the charge, combining for 39 points and key plays down the stretch. The contest was tight throughout, with both teams locked at 15 after the first quarter. Potomac State took a one-point lead into halftime (32-31), but the third quarter allowed Montgomery College to gain momentum, outscoring the Catamounts 19-11 to take a 50-43 lead into the fourth. However, a dominant final period propelled Potomac State to the win.
