Game Summary
The Raptors were tested early in the game, failing to capitalize on numerous scoring opportunities. After a lapse in concentration on defense by MC, the Hawks managed to open scoring in the 19th minute when Southern Maryland winger, #11 Bryce Wilcher, hit the bottom right post to give Southern Maryland a 1-0 lead. MC staff quickly infused the team with substitutions and were rewarded in the 30th minute when #12 Nhlamulo Baloyi finished off a beautiful assist by #21 Angel Giron-Ramos . The teams went into the locker room at half tied.
It took less than two minutes in the second half for #12 Nhlamulo Baloyi to pickup his second goal from a goalie deflection and give the Raptors the 2-1 lead. The attack continued for MC, with a third goal coming by #14 Hanmin Kim who received a corner pass from #8 Joao Ribeiro . Ribeiro was not done helping on attack, getting fouled in the goalie box and eventually giving the Raptors a 4-1 lead with a penalty kick goal. #12 Nhlamulo Baloyi picked up his hat-track with minutes left in the game to finish off the Hawks.
