Men’s Soccer Set to Take On Three NCAA Division One Teams this Spring

After a successful fall campaign, the MC men’s soccer team looks to continue its growth this spring with an ambitious spring schedule. The Raptors will take on three NCAA Division I program – George Washington University, George Mason University, and Mount Saint Mary’s University. They will also face the University of the District of Columbia (NCAA Division II) and MDJUCO conference rival Frederick Community College.

Montgomery College Freshmen Honored as All-American in Men and Women’s Soccer

Andres Javitt and Luisa Navas Gonzalez received NJCAA Division I All-America Team honors for their standout performances during the 2021 soccer season. Javitt was named a Third Team All-American for Men's Soccer, and Navas Gonzalez received an Honorable Mention for Women's Soccer. The pair are the first Raptors to receive Division I All-America Team honors since the soccer programs transitioned to NJCAA Division One in the 2018-2019 season.
Raptors Men's Soccer Defeat Monroe College in OT 1-0, Advance to East District Championship Final

In Saturday's East District Championship semifinal match in New Rochelle, NY, the Montgomery College Raptors men's soccer team defeated Monroe College in overtime 1-0. As a result, the Raptors improve to 13-4 and advance to next weekend's District final, returning to Montgomery College's home field.
Seven Goals by Seven Different Raptors in Men's Soccer Victory Over Hagerstown CC

Montgomery College men's soccer team's depth was on display Tuesday night as seven different Raptors scored in the team's 7-0 conference victory over Hagerstown CC Hawks. Brayan Murillo opened up the scoring with an excellent feed from Anthony Jimenez through the Hawk's defense to put MC on the board in the 20th minute. Andres Javitt would clean up a loose ball in the Hawks' box in the 43rd minute to give his team a 2-0 lead going into halftime.

Fall starts this Thursday, August 24, at Chesapeake College at 4 pm, while the team's home opener is Thursday, September 2 at 7 pm against Allegany College of MD.
