Hopkins Tosses Perfect Game, Mouzon One-Hits Crusaders In Non-Conference Finale

Hopkins Tosses Perfect Game, Mouzon One-Hits Crusaders In Non-Conference Finale

FRONT ROYAL, Va. – The Montgomery College softball program hosted a pitching clinic in northern Virginia on Thursday as Kyndall Hopkins was perfect with an absurd 13 strikeouts over five innings and Lesa Mouzon held the home nine to just one double in a pair of dominant showings, 19-0 and 23-1. With the Raptors piling up 42 runs and 35 hits, highlighting every single contributor would be an extremely long read, so here is a quick summary of the three top hitters. Alyssa Anderson and Morgan Lynn both brought their boom sticks with them, each smashing a home run which accounted for two of their 14 combined hits while also bringing home 16 RBIs, scoring 11 times, and stealing three bases. Alexandra Iacino did most of her damage in the nightcap, going 4-for-4 with five ribbies, four scores, and two stolen bases on top of falling a round-tripper shy of a cycle.

The ladies from Rockville wrap up the regular season slate on Friday with another doubleheader away from campus as they face Garrett in McHenry, Maryland.
