Raptors Compete at Mid-Atlantic Junior College Invitational

Raptors Compete at Mid-Atlantic Junior College Invitational

It is often said that the Midwest has the windiest days, but the mid-Atlantic region can also experience strong gusts. The Mid-Atlantic Junior College Invitational was a challenging track meet for the Raptors, but they were determined to compete. Coach Nelson allowed the student-athletes to be independent thinkers and problem solvers, testing their recall of meet-day preparation with minimal instructions.

Fred Kolla participated in two events - the Shot Put and Discus. His throws were consistent, and he achieved a season-best of 7.87 in the Shot Put. Later, he threw the Discus 89'9.

Xavier Tran also had an impressive performance, running his first collegiate 100 meters in 11.16 seconds, which placed him 6th overall in the event.
