Raptors Compete at 2024 George Mason Ebanks Invitational Meet

Raptors Compete at 2024 George Mason Ebanks Invitational Meet

This past weekend the Raptors Track & Field team only had Xavier Tran (FR) compete at the 2024 George Mason Ebanks Invitational. The rest of the team had the opportunity to rest and train through this meet. The March weather swings in another cold gusty windy day. But like that old saying goes everybody must run no matter the weather conditions of rain sunshine, wind and cold.

This being an Invitational, Junior College athletes needed to run competitive times to compete at the George Mason Ebanks Invitational track meet. The same goal remains the same for Xavier going into the 200 meters. The objective was to use the minimum from the Towson meet to improve on the next race. After the race, Xavier said he "was not thrilled about the time," but was happy to have beaten athletes from several D1 programs.

Of the colleges competing at the track meet only 2 other Freshman in the event (200 meters) had a better time than Xavier. Coach Nelson informed Xavier it's a good look for our program and himself. Other programs and coaches are watching.  Xavier is looking forward to next week when he will run his first collegiate (100 meters) at Howard Community College.
