Collin Turner, Men's Basketball
In just 40 games as a Montgomery College Raptor, Collin Turner tips his 1,000th career point on Friday, February 16 in the 95-84 victory over Baltimore City Community College in the quarterfinal game of the Maryland JUCO Tournament.
Armonie Lomax, Women's Basketball
In just 49 games as a Montgomery College Raptor, Armonie Lomax reaches an outstanding achievement scoring her 1,000th career point on Saturday, February 3rd in the 91-64 road victory against Anne Arundel Community College.
Lauren Nelson, Women's Basketball
This past week, Lauren Nelson, a freshman guard for the women’s basketball team recorded a career-high 34 points in just 28 minutes in the 70-point win over Allegany College of Maryland on January 6th 104-37. Nelson shot 84% from the field, making 16 out of her 19 shots and went two for two from the free throw line.
Collin Turner, Men's Basketball
The sophomore guard has helped lead his team to a 2-1 start on the season by shooting 51% from three-point range and averaging 33.3 points per game in the first week of the season. Turner was also named NJCAA Player of the Week by the National Office for his performance on the hardwood during the second week of the season.
Nicole Godoy, Women's Soccer
Nicole Godoy came up big for the Raptors women’s soccer team scoring the game-winning goal in the 88th minute of the game against Anne Arundel Community College. Godoy laced a free kick, from over 35 yards out, over the defense and past the goalkeeper to break the 2-2 tie and give the Raptors the win over the Region XX opponent. Godoy is the team’s versatile central midfielder with four goals, six assists and 14 points on the season. Nicole Godoy is a freshman that comes to MC by way of Urbana High School.
Alec Jones, Men's Soccer
Alec Jones has made a huge impact in the Raptors last few games helping his team to their 10-1 start. The freshman forward from St. Vincent Pallotti High School has scored seven goals in the last three games and was named the NJCAA DIII Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
Jose Pesoa, Men's Soccer
On Saturday, September 2nd Jose Pesoa helped lead his team to a 3-0 victory over nationally ranked Camden County College in the first game of the Tom Bichy Soccer Tournament. Pesoa, a freshman goalkeeper, played the entire game and stopped all ten shots on goal from the #3 ranked team in the NJCAA.
Justina Ababio, Women's Track & Field
Justina Ababio won a National Championship in the women’s discuss with a throw of 32.94m; while also placing third in the shot put (10.43m) and fourth in the hammer throw (34.39m) at the 2017 NJCAA DIII Track and Field National Championships. Ababio was also named 2017 NJCAA Eastern Region Field Athlete of the Year!
Brock Antognoni, Baseball
Brock Antognoni has recorded a batting average of .271 and a .525 slugging percentage for the Raptors with just under 60 AB. Antognoni has 16 hits so far on the season including four doubles, one triple, and three home runs. The second-year transfer from Harford CC has scored 18 runs with 13 RBIs in the first 18 games of the season for Montgomery College.
Patrick Smith, Men's Basketball
Patrick "Hustle-man" Smith was named the 2016-17 MDJUCO Player of the Year. Smith was also named to the 2016-17 First Team All-MD JUCO team. Smith leads the MDJUCO in rebounds per game (13.2) and is sixth in the conference in points per game (17.5). This is the second year in a row that a player from the Montgomery College men's basketball team has received the MDJUCO Player of the Year award.
Caleema Johnson, Women's Basketball
Caleema Johnson is averaging 22 points and 12 rebounds in the six games the MC Raptors have played in the month of January. Against Cecil College, Johnson scored 25 points and pulled down 20 rebounds and later that same week she scored 31 points and 17 rebounds in the Raptors road win against Frederick CC.
Armonie Lomax, Women's Basketball
Armonie Lomax has recorded a double double in the first five contests of the season. The freshman guard is averaging 26.8 points and 11.2 rebounds per game for the Raptors.
Juan Maraboli, Men's Soccer
Juan Maraboli is playing at the top of his game this season allowing only 16 goals, stopping 75 shots on goal and recording a .824 save percentage. He has also played 53 more minutes than any other goalie in the country. Maraboli leads the nation in games played (14), games started (14) and shut out games (six).

Jamie Montgomery scored six goals in the Raptors 11-0 defeat against Howard CC on Wednesday. In the past five games, Jamie has scored 14 goals and is currently tied for second in the nation for goals scored.
