Raptors Volleyball Ends Regular Season on 3-Game Win Streak; Chepurnova Elapsed 500th Career Kill

On Monday, October 21st, the Montgomery College Volleyball team hosted it's annual Dig Pink Game against Chesapeake College. In a 16-kill performance, Anya Chepurnova elapsed her 500th career kill as a Montgomery College Raptor and help her team defeat Chesapeake College in straight sets 25-14, 25-11, 25-11. Daniella Zajac recorded 16 kills on 30 attempts while Simay Aybak made 21 digs, and Kira Ng tallied 37 assists.

Montgomery picked up a road victory against Washington Adventist University in straight sets 25-14, 25-10, 27-25. Anya Chepurnova had 17 kills, and Lindsay Nyunja had nine kills. Kira Ng 32 assists and 11 digs in the Raptors 17th win of the season!

In the team's final game of the regular season, Montgomery defeated the Anne Arundel CC Riverhawks in straight sets 25-11, 25-8, 25-15. Zajac had 17 kills and 12 digs while Cherpurnova recorded ten kills and 17 digs. Ng had four service aces and 32 assists on the night.

The Raptors will return to the court for the postseason NJCAA DII Region XX Tournament that will take place November 2nd and 3rd at Hagerstown CC. After the official seeding has been announced, game schedules will be posted on MCRaptors.com with up-to-date scores and highlights.
