Raptors Women’s Soccer Score Seven Goals in Victory over College of Southern MD

The Montgomery College Raptors women's soccer team beat the College of Southern Maryland Hawks on the road by a score of 7-1.

The Hawks got on the board with a goal in the first ten minutes of play. Freshman, Sophie Couturier was able to get behind the Hawks defense to even the match going into halftime.

Coach Phil lit a fire in his team at halftime because the Raptors came out to score six unanswered second half goals. Paulina Molina came out of halftime to start the scoring in the 57th minute and Keyla Velasquez scored in the 66th minute.

Sophie Couturier scored her second goal of the game in the 69th minute and scored her third goal in the 73rd minute to record her first colligate hat trick. Teammate and older sister, Elise Couturier followed up with goals in the 82nd and 89th minute to round out the scoring for the Raptors.
