Raptors Women’s Basketball Rebounds on Day Two of Holiday Tournament

The Raptors women's basketball team neutralized Mercer County Community College in Sunday's Holiday Tournament match up 91-52. The Raptors got out to an 11-0 lead over Mercer to start the game and held their opponent's to only nine first-quarter points. Offensively, Nusaibah Rashad led the way for the Raptors scoring 16 of her 26 points in the first half with the Raptors leading 45-29 at the midway point. Rashad also finished with 14 rebounds while Jordan Odom followed up with 20 points and 11 rebounds and eight assists. Karon Williams contributed 14 points, Mariah Ellis added 13 and Saraphina Pierre-Louis netted 5 points with five rebounds. 

Montgomery stumbled out of the gate on the first day of the MC Holiday Tournament, falling to Cuyahoga Community College 64-60. Odom dropped 20 points, and Rashad scored 15 points in the four-point defeat.

The Raptors' next game will be at home against CCBC Essex on January 8th at 5:30 pm.
