Raptors Compete at Morgan State Legacy Meet
The Morgan State Legacy track meet featured ideal weather conditions with sunny skies and warm temperatures. It was a great opportunity for the Raptors to showcase their skills in front of various HBCU Track & Field programs. Every track meet is a chance for students to gauge their abilities against the competition, and this one was no exception. They all aimed to achieve a personal record or personal best for the season.
Lattera Dakka made significant progress in the 1500 meters, running a personal best time of 4.34.88. He is learning how to pace himself and remains committed to steady improvement every week. This was an impressive 11-second improvement from his previous time of 4.45.01.
Fred Kolla also made strides in the Discus event, achieving a season's best of 105' 1". He maintained his performance in the Shot Put with a throw of 25ft 4.75. Fred is confident that he can continue to improve and is looking forward to the NJCAA Region XX Outdoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for next week.
