Rockville – The MC Raptors won their sixth straight game and recorded their second shut out in a row in an 8-0 over NOVA Community College on September 17. The Saturday night win saw the Raptors move to 8-1 on the season.
The Raptors struck early with freshman Sota Matsuo getting on the end of a Andres Javitt pass to score the game's first goal in the 7th minute. Six minutes later the Raptors struck again off a corner kick, with Brian Noutchang finding a rebound effort for the 2-0. The Raptors added two more to take a 4-0 lead to the locker room.
The second half was more of the same. Freshman midfielder Ethan Lane slotted home a penalty kick early in the second half for a 5-0 lead. Deric Pocasangre added another in the 63rd minute. Finally, Ahmadou Koita, returning from a knee injury that had sidelined him to this point in the season found two late goals to complete the rout.
