Raptors Men's Soccer winning streak comes to an end with a loss to Frederick CC

After a 5-0 start to the season, the MC Raptors Men's Soccer team suffered a 6-1 defeat away against Frederick Community College.

After falling behind early, MC got on the scoreboard when freshman midfielder Anthony Jiminez set up sophomore forward Joseph Kitengie on his 16th goal of the season at the 14:25 mark in the first half to tie the game 1-1. The Raptors went into halftime down 2-1 but Frederick found four unanswered goals to secure the win.

Hurrich Engoue replaced Raptors sophomore Abraham Israel who left the game after suffering a head injury in the 20th minute and was unable to return.

The Raptors recorded nine shots on goal, and Marvin Mendez recorded 13 saves in his sixth start in goal for Montgomery.

The Raptors host the conference leaders CCBC Essex this Tuesday with an opportunity to win the MDJUCO Conference with a win over the Knights.

While fans are not currently allowed to attend games due to COVID restrictions, all Raptors' home games will be streamed live on MC Raptor's YouTube channel.
