Raptors Men's Basketball Secures 77-74 Win Over College of Southern MD Hawks

The Montgomery College men's basketball team held on to a three-point win over College of Southern MD Hawks 77-74 on Saturday afternoon in the PE Building of the Rockville Campus.

The Raptors started the game strongly and claimed the lead early by outscoring the Hawks 14-9 in the first five minutes of play. However, a Hawks 15-7 run would see Southern Maryland take the lead into the locker room. Led by Marlon Pratt and Muhammad Abdulmateen, the Raptors rebounded in the second half to outscore the Hawks by ten and secure the victory.

Montgomery's Pratt and Abdulmateen would combine to score 32 of the team's 47-second half points. Pratt shot four for six from beyond the arch, and Abdulmateen would get busy around the rim shooting seven of ten from 2-point land and pulled down five offensive rebounds.
