Men's Basketball Falls Short in Opening Game of Holiday Tournament against Nassau 81-74

The Raptors men's basketball team made a gallant effort in their first game of the holiday tournament but their inability to convert from the free throw line resulted in a 81-74 loss to Nassau CC.

Montgomery outshot Nassau from the field, outscored them 34-30 from points in the paint, and capitalized from points off turnovers. Still, MC's struggled at the charity stripe, making 14 out of 28 attempts, whereas Nassau scored over half their team's points from the free-throw line.

Montgomery freshman Mario Pierre led the way offensively for the Raptors with 18 points, followed by Sanu Basu, who came off the bench to chip in 14 points and pulled down five boards, and sophomore Marlon Pratt dropped 11 points and had seven rebounds.
