MC Men’s Basketball Rides Seven-Game Winning Streak into Holiday Tournament; Collin Turner as its Student-Athletes of the Month for November

The Raptors men's basketball team enters this weekend's MC Holiday Tournament on a seven-game win streak. Montgomery's opening round match-up will be an exciting contest as Community College of Philadelphia comes to Rockville riding an 11-game win streak.

The Raptors finished out the month of November defeating Potomac State College 92-75 with Collin Turner, Afanna Offor, Freddie Harris and Elisha Arnold scoring in double figures for MC.

On December 2nd Montgomery College men's basketball team went on the road and picked up a tremendous 31-point victory against CC Allegheny County-Allegheny. Turner finished with 29 points for MC as Jomaite Tavarez added 11 points off the bench and Carl Brown recorded a double-double with 10 points and ten rebounds in the 95-64 win.

The Raptors showed their toughness at home defeating MDJUCO opponent Baltimore City CC 105-90. Montgomery's guard from Poolesville HS, Collin Turner, scored 43 points while hitting 68% from the field, four for seven from beyond the arch, and 11 for 11 from the charity stripe while tacking on five steals and four assists. Offor had a big game scoring a season-high 22 points while teammate Chris Johnson added 13 points.

The men's basketball team picked up their third win of the month in Erie, PA outscoring Mercyhurst North East 95-77. Five Raptors scored in double figures Offor with 17, Harris with 15, Arnold with 12, Johnson with 10 and Turner recorded his first career double-double recorded 33 points and pulling down 11 rebounds in the contest.
