Raptors Baseball Hung Together to Pick up Two Road Wins against Anne Arundel CC

On Saturday, The Raptors picked up two wins on the road in a twin bill against the Riverhawks of Anne Arundel Community College.

Julio Suero recorded his second win on the mount for Montgomery, pitching six innings, allowing only two earned runs on five hits with nine strikeouts. Aivis Natividad led the way offensively for MC, going three for four at the plate with a double, a home run, and five RBIs. Montgomery's Cristopher Burger and Daniel Reyes each hit a double and recorded two RBIs in the 11-5 game one victory.

Game two was a pitching battle. The Raptors hung together through the first five innings and broke open the bats to score six runs in the sixth inning to bat through the line-up. The scoring started with a sacrifice fly from Daniel Weeden that scored Cristopher Burger. Matt Frye hit a double that scored Ethan Semones and Daniel Reyes; Natividad singled to left field to score Phaly Moravek and Frye. Finally, Burger singled to center field to bring in Jaden Minnick for the inning's sixth run.

Nathan Proctor was on the mound for the Raptors, pitching six innings, allowing only two earned runs on six hits with four strikeouts to pick up his second win.

Weeden topped off Montgomery's scoring in the seventh inning with a two-run home run to left field to give the Raptors nine runs and the victory over Anne Arundel 9-4.

The Raptors will return to action after spring break with two road games at Garrett College on March 27th and two more road games at Cecil College on April 1st. The team will play their first home game of the season on April 6th against Prince George's Community College.
