ARNOLD, Md. – The Anne Arundel Community College volleyball team fell to visiting Montgomery College, 3-0, in NJCAA Region 20 action at Jenkins Gym Wednesday evening. Game scores were 25-13, 25-20, and 25-19.

Jaymee Green paced the attach with eight kills while also totaling five blocks. Mia Keen had 16 assists to go with three service aces and four digs. Sydni Smith also recorded three service aces. Lluvia Owens-Pabon added 10 digs and four assists to go with two kills.

Montgomery jumped out to an early lead and easily held on for the first set win. In the second set, AACC trailed by eight, but climbed back to within one, 19-18, after back-to-back aces from Keen. Montgomery regrouped after a time out to edge ahead and hold on for the win. AACC posted another rally in the third set to climb back from an eight-point deficit.

The Riverhawks continue their homestand Friday in a 7 p.m. NJCAA Region 20 match against Allegany College of Maryland.
