ROCKVILLE - Cecil baseball suffered two Region 20 losses Friday afternoon, falling 9-4 and 3-0 to the Montgomery Raptors.
The Seahawks drop to 5-13 after the defeats.
Game One - Montgomery 9, Cecil 4 - Box Score
The Seahawks took a quick 1-0 lead, but were outdone in the bottom of the second after the Raptors scored three. Montgomery went on to score two in the fourth and four in the sixth, building up a 9-1 advantange going into the final frame.
Cecil put up a fight in the seventh, scoring three runs on two hits, two walks, and an error. A grounder to second eventually retired the rally.
Five Seahawks produced one hit each in the loss. Justin Weaver led the team with two RBI. Hunter Sipel (3-2) took the loss on the bump despite allowing just two earned runs.
Game Two - Montgomery 3, Cecil 0 - Box Score
Montgomery pitchers held the Seahawks to just a pair of hits, leading to Cecil being shutout by the Raptors.
Bailey Shindle and Franco Riposo collected the Seahawks two hits. John Smith (0-5) took down seven Raptors via strikeout.
