Rockville, MD - The Tribs were at it again! Monroe Community College Women's Soccer Program dominated the Montgomery College Raptors with an 8-0 victory, extending their record to 5-0-1 overall and 4-0-1 in conference play. The Tribunes controlled the game from start to finish, with standout performances from multiple players, particularly Sam Cipolla (Rochester, NY), who scored four goals and contributed one assist.
Monroe racked up five first-half goals, starting with Cipolla's opening strike in the 5th minute, assisted by Kayla Baca (Spencerport, NY) and Manou Van Gils (Tilburg, Netherlands). Brianna Romaniak (Belchertown, MA), Kennady Billman (Belleville, NY), and Saffron Millar (Wanaka, New Zealand) followed with goals in quick succession, with Millar scoring twice before halftime.
Cipolla continued her offensive surge with a second-half hat-trick and capped off the match with a final goal in the 85th minute, securing an 8-0 shutout, with only one save from MCC keeper Clare Boesel (Palmyra, NY).
The Lady Tribs' relentless attack saw them take 31 shots, 26 of which were on target, compared to just 3 shots from Montgomery. Raptors goalkeeper Natalie Nunez-Fleitas faced an onslaught but managed to record 16 saves.
Monroe will look to continue this dominance on the road against Anne Arundel Community College.
