ARNOLD, MD – The No. 5 Anne Arundel Community College men's soccer team fell to visiting Division I Montgomery Thursday afternoon in Region 20 action at Siegert Field. The Riverhawks trailed, 2-0, at halftime and allowed three additional goals in the second half.

The Riverhawks (5-2) came alive late in the first half, but were thwarted by Montgomery keeper Marvin Cheguen Mendez on the attempt. Davis Bosley played in a long corner to Daevon Lionel in the 43^rd minute, but Mendez was there to make the stop.  

In the 56^th minute, Connor Pollack had a solid attempt, but was again denied by Mendez. AACC two more breakaways in the second half, first from Raphael Arias in the 61^st minute, and again in the 78^th minute from Terrance Espinal.

Riverhawks keeper Edgar Garcia made four saves in the game, including three in the second half.

Montgomery led in corners, 8-2, and outshot the Riverhawks, 18-10.

AACC hosts Prince George's on Tuesday, September 27, at 5 p.m, in a key Region 20 divisional match.
