Men’s Soccer: Catamounts Fall To Raptors, 4-3

The Potomac State men's soccer team lost, 4-3, on Tuesday evening to Montgomery College.
 
Potomac State's Rashid Nacif scored the opening goal of the contest in the 35th minute. Nacif was fouled in the box and then finished a PK to give the Catamounts a 1-0 lead. Montgomery respoded just four minutes later to tie the score 1-1.
 
The Catamounts came out firing in the second half and took a 2-1 lead in the 53rd minute. Again, from Nacif, when he took a shot from outside the box with an assist from Corbin McAllister. The Raptors tied the match 2-2 just 24 seconds later. Montgomery would then take a 4-2 lead with goals in the 60th and 62nd minute. Nacif would get his third goal of the game in 82nd minute, making the game 4-3, but that was all the closer the Catamounts would get.  
 
Catamount goalkeeper Tim Bailey finished with eight saves in a complete game effort.
 

 

The Catamounts are back in action Saturday, October 15 as they take on Davis & Elkins JV at home on homecoming. Start time is set for 2:30 p.m.
