INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

The Potomac State women's soccer team had a home matchup against Montgomery College, Tuesday afternoon. The Catamounts took a 2-0 lead en route to a 2-1 victory.
 
Potomac State opened the scoring in the 39th minute when Nicole McManamay finished a feed form Morgan Pyles. After taking that one-goal edge into halftime, the Catamounts would score  the eventual game-winning goal from Shakhia Conn in the 75th minute. 


Montgomery got back into the game with a goal in the 84th minute, but the Catamounts were able to hold off the Raptors in the final minutes. Kelsey O'Neal and Nevaeh Hamborsky shared time in net and combined with four saves to help lead the Catamounts to the victory.

 

STATS OF THE MATCH:

 

Potomac State will travel to Christendom College on Thursday, October 13 for a 4:30 p.m. matchup against the Crusaders. The Catamounts will return home on Saturday, for homecoming, with a 12 p.m. matchup against Howard Community College.
