The Raptors volleyball team was the 15th seed entering the NJCAA DII Championship Tournament in Charleston, WV, where they had a, had a tough draw. Montgomery College matched up against the #2 seed Coffeyville CC, the two-time defending National Champions in the first round of the tournament.

The Montgomery College Raptors volleyball team won three games this past weekend and walked away as the 2019 NJCAA DII Region XX Champions and 2019 NJCAA DII Mid-Atlantic District Champions.

On Monday, October 21st, the Montgomery College Volleyball team hosted its’ annual Dig Pink Game against Chesapeake College. In a 16-kill performance, Anya Chepurnova elapsed her 500th career kill as a Montgomery College Raptor and help her team defeat Chesapeake College in straight sets 25-14, 25-11, 25-11. Daniella Zajac recorded 16 kills on 30 attempts while Simay Aybak made 21 digs, and Kira Ng tallied 37 assists.

The Montgomery College Raptors volleyball team has played a perfect 30 sets to begin the season to start 10-0 in the first ten matches. The Raptors average almost 11 kills per set and a .335 team hitting percentage led by sophomore Anya Chepurnova with .442 (third in the nation).
