Montgomery Volleyball Push Unbeaten Streak to 19 Games and Win First at the Raptors Invitational Tournament

The Raptors volleyball continue their dominance as they picked up five wins and another tournament trophy this past weekend at the Raptors Invitational Tournament hosted by Montgomery College! Montgomery College is the only unbeaten team in NJCAA Division II Volleyball to be mentioned in the national ranking pole. 

The Raptors won four out of their five games in straight sets, giving up their only set of the tournament Sunday morning to Potomac State College where the Raptors went on to win 3-1; 26-14, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23. Montgomery College has only lost a total of three sets in the 19 matches they have played this season. 

Montgomery continues to lead all NJCAA Division II teams in hitting percentage with a team .367 and sits atop the MDJUCO standings alongside Hagerstown, who also boasts a perfect 5-0 record in the conference. 

Raptors Isabel Nelligan, Anna Chepurnova, and Skyler Thiessen were selected to the All-Tournament Team alongside Zaiera Duckett from College of Southern MD, Paola Almarante from CCRI and Devan Day and Nyzaria McGraw from Potomac State College of WVA.
