Volleyball Defeats DI Conference Opponent in Close Game at Garrett College

The Montgomery College volleyball team split at the Anne Arundel Tri-match on September 17. 

MC lost their first game in three straight sets to Butler County Community College. MC lost 25-14 in the first two sets and then 25-12 in the third set. MC's Audrey Dipoko had eight kills on eight attempts with seven digs. 

In the second game the Raptors defeated the host team Anne Arundel Community College Riverhawks in four sets; 25-13, 21-25, 25-20, 25-18. Freshman Caitlin Winans had eight kills on 16 attempts and Alejandra Borja had seven kills on 20 attempts to combine for 20.5 points. Pamela Ngando added 11 kills and seven digs to propel the Raptors to their 3-1 victory. 

On September 20 the MC volleyball team went the distance with Garrett College. The Raptors took a 3-2 victory on the road that came down to the final set. After trailing two sets to one, Montgomery College took control of the fourth set to win 25-16 and tie the game 2-2 and force a fifth and deciding set. The Raptors won the fifth set 15-13 to improve to 4-2 in the conference and 4-3 overall.
