Women’s Track and Field Impresses at Towson Invitational

TOWSON, Md. - The Montgomery College men's track and field competed at the Towson Invitational, on Saturday at Unitas Stadium. The 4x100m relay team ran a qualifying time of 51.63 that consisted of Alyssa Moran, Kimberly Stamets, Djamila Zangre, & Imani Costley passing the baton. Alyssa Moran qualified for nationals in the 100m fighting a leg injury with a time of 13.29. Kimberly Stamets has consistently hit her mark in the 200m (27.54), & 400m (1:01.63). Justina, the defending national champion in the Shot Put, hit her qualifying mark of 12.13m and also qualified for the Hammer Throw recording a throw of 30.30m. The freshman on the team show they want to make that trip to Nationals as Djamila Zangre qualified for the 400m with a time of 1:06.89 and Tanyka Trotman also qualified with a time of 1:06.93.

The Raptors will compete at the Gallaudet Invitational at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, April 21st.
