Raptors Women's Track and Field Team Upped the Ante at the Johns Hopkins Invitational
This past weekend, the MC Raptors in back to back meets traveling to the city of Baltimore, Md. First was the Johns Hopkins Invitational on Friday and then to the newly restored Towson University Invitational on Saturday. With the season winding down, both the men's and woman's team upped the ante adding new qualifying times and marks.
On the woman's side, the 4x1 relay started both days off with a good race timed at 53.03 and 51.98. Alyssa Moran finished in the top half of the competition in Long Jump with a mark of 4.91 and 5.08m, 12.96 in the 100m, and 26.85 in the 200m. Jade Zhang pushed through to a 13.28 in the 100m and 27.64 in the 200m as well. Justina Ababio once again stayed consistent hitting a qualifying mark in the Shot Put throwing a 10.12m and a 10.90, then in Discus throwing a 31.46m. Lastly Kimberly Stamets ran two tough 400m runs finishing with a time of 1:01.96 and 1:02.24.
All things considered the Raptors plan on pushing their efforts as they go to the prestige's Morgan State University Legacy meet on 4/22/17. #GORAPTORS
