Raptors Women's Soccer Tied with Frederick and Beat CCBC Catonsville

The Montgomery College Raptors women's soccer team made several outstanding plays on Thursday against the Frederick CC Cougars. The matched ended in a 2-2 draw after two overtime sessions. Raptors' Eve San Martin scored in the final second of the first half (45') to give her team the 1-0 lead going into halftime. Frederick came back to early in the second half with a goal of their own to tie the game at 1-1. Melanie Rodriguez beat the Cougars backline and chipped the goalie to help the Raptors regain the lead in the 71st minute. Frederick would close out the second half with another goal in the 78th minute to even the contest, and the match would end in a draw after two scoreless overtime sessions.

The Raptors picked up a road victory back on Tuesday, September 24th, against Catonsville 13-0. Seven different Raptors scored in the match, Paulina Molina 7', 18', 51', Keyla Velasquez 9', 43', Ashley Zambrano 11', Melanie Rodriguez 17', Sophie Couturier 19', 59', Elise Couturier 49', 74', 85', and Celina Alvarez 82'.

Montgomery sits at 6-6-1 on the season and 4-1-1 in MD JUCO conference.
