Women’s Soccer Claim 2018 MDJUCO Title!

The Montgomery College women's soccer team are the 2018 Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference Champions as the Raptors are 7-1 in conference play! MC finished the regular season on an 11 game winning streak that dates back September 15th and has outscored their opponents 97-16. The Raptors are 6th in Division I women's soccer in goals scored and lead the nation in goals scored per game with an average of 7.46 goals per game. 

The Raptors have a powerful scoring duo in Ariella Amaguana and Viviana Rodriguez as Amaguana leads the MDJUCO in goals scored with 22 followed by Rodriguez with 18 goals on the season. Amaguana also leads the conference in points (57) and shots (79) and is second in assists with 13. The goalkeeping for Montgomery has been strong all season, and a significant factor in the team's success, as Delmy Perez and Elise Couturier are holding opponents to a meager 1.23 goals a game. 

The Raptors finish the season with a record of 11-2 and will enter the NJCAA DI Region XX Women's Soccer Tournament the #1 seed, and they will play the #4 CCBC Essex Thursday, October 25th at 6:30 at CCBC Catonsville Stadium.
