Women’s Soccer Notches Third Victory in a Row with Win Over ASA College 3-0

Montgomery scored two first-half goals, led by a two-score performance from sophomore Viviana Rodriguez and the third goal coming from Alexa Escobar as the Raptors took down ASA College 3-0 Saturday afternoon. This victory comes after the Raptors played two road games and outscored their opponents 24-2. 

Raptors Women's Soccer vs ASA College Highlights

Montgomery traveled to New York last weekend where they blanked Monroe College – Bronx 17-0 and picked up the team's first MD JUCO Conference win against CCBC Essex 7-2. Sophomore forward Gabriela Fernandez led the way in scoring with four goals against Monroe College, and Ariella Amaguana recorded her second hat trick of the season with a three-goal performance against CCBC Essex. Amaguana and Rodriguez lead the team in scoring with a half a dozen goals each, followed closely by Fernandez with five goals on the season. 

The Montgomery women's soccer team moves to 3-2 overall on the year and 1-2 in the MDJUCO. The Raptors return to action this Tuesday, September 25th to host Frederick Community College at the Maryland SoccerPlex Field #TBA* at 2:00 pm and close out September with a home match against Howard CC on Friday the 28th at 2:00 pm. 

*The field number will be released on game day.
