Raptors Women’s Basketball Receive No. 5 Seed in Region XX DII Basketball Tournament

The Montgomery College Raptors enter this year’s Region XX DII Women’s Basketball Tournament as the No. 5 seed with an overall record of 16-11 and 7-4 against Division II regional opponents. The Tournament will be hosted at Cecil College in North East, Md. March 7-10.

Women’s Basketball Starts 2019 at .500 with Two Divisional Wins

Since January 1, the women’s basketball team is 2-2 with wins over NJCAA Division II opponents Hagerstown and College of Southern MD. These victories will have postseason seeding implications in both the Maryland Juco Conference Tournament and the Region XX Tournament.

MC Raptors women’s basketball team defeated Cuyahoga Community College 94-59 in game one of the Raptors Holiday Tournament but fell to Nationally ranked Monroe Community College 91-63 in the championship to place second.
Raptors Women's Basketball Comes Back to Defeat Sullivan County CC 73-67

Women’s basketball freshman Jordan Odom had 19 points, 11 rebounds and four assists as Montgomery came back in the second half to defeat DII opponent Sullivan County Community College Generals 73-67 on Saturday to even their record out at 3-3.
Women’s Basketball Hosts Open Tryouts September 27 & 28

The Montgomery College women's basketball program will be hosting open tryouts on Thursday, September 27th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and Friday, September 28th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on the Rockville Campus in the PE Building main gym.
