Raptors Women’s Basketball Ignite The 2018 Half of the Season with a 70- Point Victory Over Allegany College of Maryland.

After a tough defeat to Monroe College 80-69 in the Championship Game of the MC Holiday Tournament, the Raptors women's basketball team rebounds to end the 2017 calendar year on a winning note defeating Prince George's Community College (5-6, 2-2) 81-58 on Wednesday, December 20th. Armonie Lomax recorded a game-high 24 points, and Anu Bamijoko had a double-double with 12 points and 19 rebounds. The bench combined for 25 points with 13 points coming from Kayla Jackson and Alandra Bandy added the other 12 points in the 23-point victory.

The Raptors continued their winning ways on Saturday, January 6th with a 70 point victory over MDJUCO opponent Allegany College of Maryland (4-5, 0-4) 104-34. Lauren Nelson exploded for 36 points for MC as teammate Alandra Bandy added 17 points, Armonie Lomax recorded 13 points, and Sarah Olsen dropped 10 points.

 The Raptors women's basketball team is currently sitting in the #4 spot in the MDJUCO with a record of 4-1 and #5 in the country with a record of 12-4. Montgomery's next game is on Monday, January 15th at 5:30 p.m. against Westmoreland County Community College.
