Women's Basketball Wins Fifth Straight, Jumps to #5 in the National Rankings

On February 1, the MC women's basketball team coasted to an easy win against Allegany College of Maryland 116-37. The Raptors scored 37 points in the first quarter as they held Allegany to only nine points in the first half. Everyone that suited up for Montgomery played and everyone scored. Five Raptors scored in double figures: Caleema Johnson (31 points), Sheri Addison (21 points) and Armonie Lomax (24 points) combining for 76 points. Jewel Johnson had seven assists to go along with her 11 points. Tyra Lyles added 12 points off the bench and Addison had a double double with 11 steals in the 79-point victory.
