Raptors Men’s Soccer Receives DI National Ranking Votes after Victories Over Harford CC, CCBC Essex, and Mercyhurst North East

The Raptors men's soccer team continues their unbeaten streak on the road with wins against Division I opponents Harford CC, CCBC Essex, and Mercyhurst North East. After falling behind to Harford CC early in the first half, sophomore forward Nnanyelugo Onyia jumped started the scoring as the Raptors scored three unanswered goals to come back and win 3-1. Montgomery is ranked 19th in the country amongst Division I men's soccer teams.

In a similar situation, Montgomery trailed by two goals at halftime against CCBC Essex, and the Raptors retaliated with a four-goal second half led by a two-goal performance by sophomore Sahor "Pa" Keluntang to come back and win the match 4-2. 

Keluntang continued his hot streak with a pair of goals against Mercyhurst North East and the team's leading scorer, Youness Benmouna tallied his 12th goal of the season with a goal in the 12th minute in a match that ended 7-0 in favor of Montgomery College. 

The Montgomery men's soccer team moves to 8-1 overall on the year and 4-0 in the MDJUCO. The Raptors return to action this Tuesday, September 25th to host Frederick Community College at the Maryland SoccerPlex Field #TBA* at 4:00 pm and the final home match of September against Howard CC on Friday the 28th at 4:00 pm.
