  • Raptors Men’s Soccer Come up Short in OT in NJCAA Region XX DI Final Match

    The 2018 men’s soccer season came to an abrupt end with a 3-2 overtime loss to CCBC Essex in the NJCAA Region XX DI Championship match. Daniel Tshiani scored both of the Raptors goals. One goal came in the opening seconds of the second half, to tie the game 1-1, and the other goal came with 10 minutes left in the game, to tie the game at two apiece, to force extra time. 
  • Raptors Men’s Soccer Claim MDJUCO Title and Advance to NJCAA DI Region XX Final

    The Montgomery College men’s soccer team are the 2018 Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference Champions as the Raptors are a spotless 11-0 in conference play. The MC Raptors are currently ranked 9th in the country according to the most recent NJCAA DI Men’s Soccer poll, but the ranking doesn’t illustrate the true level of the MC Raptors. The Raptors lead the nation in goals scored and have outscored their opponents 115-18 and lead the country in goals scored per game with an average of 5.22 goals per game. The Raptors entered the NJCAA DI Region XX Men's Soccer Tournament as the #1 seed and defeated #4 CCBC Catonsville 3-1 on Wednesday, October 24th.
  • Raptors Men’s Soccer Boasts Nine-Game Win streak; Nationally Ranked 8th and First in MDJUCO

    The nationally ranked MC Raptors men’s soccer team has continued to put together a complete performance night after night as they have outscored their opponents 11-1 in October,and are red hot on a nine-game win streak. In addition to being in first in the MDJUCO Conference, Montgomery leads the nation in shots (379), goals scored (73), shots on goal (208), assists (67) and corner kicks (136) in NJCAA DI men’s soccer. The Raptors are fourth in the nation in goals scored per game averaging 4.87 goals over the 15 games played while only allowing 11 goals for the entire season.
  • Raptors Men’s Soccer Receives DI National Ranking Votes after Victories Over Harford CC, CCBC Essex, and Mercyhurst North East

    The Raptors men’s soccer team continues their unbeaten streak on the road with wins against Division I opponents Harford CC, CCBC Essex, and Mercyhurst North East. After falling behind to Harford CC early in the first half, sophomore forward Nnanyelugo Onyia jumped started the scoring as the Raptors scored three unanswered goals to come back and win 3-1. Montgomery is ranked 19th in the country amongst Division I men’s soccer teams.
  • Men’s Soccer Picks-up a Win and Team’s First Lose in Tom Bichy Memorial Tournament.

    The Montgomery College men’s soccer team won one game and dropped their first game of the season over the weekend at the Fifth Annual Tom Bichy Memorial Soccer Tournament. The Raptors defeated Allegany College of MD 22-1 in game one and let up two late goals to Mt. San Antonio College falling 2-1. 
  • Raptors Men’s Soccer Blanks Onondaga CC and Ulster County CC to Open 2018 Season

    The Montgomery College men’s soccer team officially started their 2018-19 campaign this past Saturday August, 27 & 28, with a road trip to New York. The trip started in Syracuse, NY where the team stopped to play the No. 9 nationally ranked Onondaga Community College Lazers from Region III and pick up their first win of the season 3-0. The next day, Montgomery traveled to Stone Ridge, NY to play the Ulster County Community College Senators, MC’s first Division I opponent since making the leap from DIII to DI, where the Raptors picked up a decisive victory over Ulster County 7-0.
  • Men's Soccer is Hosting Mandatory Team Tryouts August 8-10

    Think you have what it takes to be on the Montgomery College Raptors men's soccer team? Mandatory team tryouts are Wednesday, August 8th, Thursday, August 9th, and Friday, August 10th from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. and 2 - 4 p.m. at the Rockville Campus on the Lower Field. Attendance at all tryout sessions is mandatory.
