Men's Soccer Finished September Red Hot; Ranked 5th Nationally; MDJUCO Student-Athlete of the Month

The Raptors men's soccer team is on a roll as they are ranked #5 in the current NJCAA Nation Poll. The Raptors are currently 13-4-0 overall and 7-2-0 in league play after the Raptors have posted 109 goals and 110 assists this season.The Raptors ended September on a six-game winning streak where MC shut out CCBC Catonsville, CCBC Essex, and Chesapeake and only allowing one goal to Harrisburg Area Community College, College of Southern MD, and Westmoreland CCC. 
A key to the Raptors high powered offense is freshman forward Youness Benmouna who was selected as the MDJUCO Men's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Month for September. In September Benmauna recorded 16 goals, 15 assists, 47 points in just 13 games played. Only starting five games this season with limited minutes he was able to record four hat tricks and is one of the top three goal scorers in the MDJUCO and is the leading the conference in assists and points. He is a team captain and has a 3.0 GPA.
MC starts their October campaign with three straight losses. The Raptors fall 2-0 to Harford CC on October 3rd, 2-1 on the road at Nassau CC and MC just recently dropped a NJCAA Division III Region XX and Maryland JUCO matchup at home on Tuesday, October 10th with a loss to Prince George's Community College 2-1.
Sophomore Appreciation Day will be held on the last home game of the season on October 13th at 4:00 p.m. against Anne Arundel CC at the Maryland SoccerPlex. The Raptors final games of the regular season will close with a three-game road trip to Howard Community College, Northern Virginia Community College, and Allegany College of Maryland before entering postseason play.
