Raptors Men's Soccer On Three-Game Win Streak, Defeats Prince George's CC 3-2 in OT Thriller

Montgomery College men's soccer team defeated MDJUCO rival Prince George's Community College 3-2 in overtime this past weekend. 

Prince George's CC scored in their first trip down field to give the Owls a 1-0 lead. MC's Peter Psallidas tied the game with an assist from Jason Divila. Less than a minute later the Owls answered back with a goal of their owl to take the lead back. The Raptors would tail 2-1 going into half time. 

In the 64th minute Bryan Reyes-Aranda found his team captain Arash Kamali who scored to tie the game at 2-2. The game was tied at the end of regulation. 

In the first trip down field in over time, Montgomery's Reyes-Aranda would this time find Sebastian Soto who scored the golden goal to end the match and give the Raptors a 3-2 victory over Prince George's CC. 

Montgomery's sophomore goalkeeper, Juan Maraboli, is playing at the top of his game this season allowing only 16 goals, stopping 75 shots on goal and recording a .824 save percentage. He has also played 53 more minutes than any other goalie in the country. Maraboli leads the nation in games played (14), games started (14) and shut out games (six).

Divila has recorded 9 assist on the season ranking him sixth in the country for assists. Reyes-Aranda has 7 assists on the season ranking him 12th in the country. The Raptors are in third place in the conference with a record of 5-1-1 behind Frederick (7-1) and CCBC Essex (6-1).
