MC Men's Soccer Unbeaten in MDJUCO Conference Contests

The Montgomery College men's soccer team defeated D1 conference opponent Harford Community College 1-0 last Tuesday. Jason Davila scored the game's only goal in the 12th minute. Sophomore co-captain Chris Rivera recorded the assist. 

Later in the week the Raptors defeated CCBC Catonsville in Baltimore last Thursday. Montgomery goalkeeper Juan Maraboli was able to stop eight of the nine shots CCBC threw his way. Raptors' Devran Perkins scored the game's first goal to give the Raptors the lead before halftime and Arash Kamali scored another in the second half to extend the lead. CCBC Catonsville was able to find the back of the net in the second half but MC was able to hold off the late push for the 2-1 victory. 

MC lost its fourth game of the season 3-1 against Mount San Antonio from Texas on Sunday. Wesley Declid gave the raptors the lead going into halftime with a beautiful shot from 18 yards out that bent around the goal keeper. MCs Maraboli was strong in goal stopping eight eight of the 11 shots on goal from MSA.

The team is 4-4-1 coming off a very tough first part of the schedule. Three of their wins have been against conference opponents and the team remains undefeated in the MDJUCO.
