Raptors Men's Soccer Ranked Sixth in the NJCAA Preseason Polls; Hosts Bichy Tournament This Weekend

Nine home games will highlight the 2016 Montgomery College men's soccer schedule this fall including Mt. San Antonio College from TX and the Division I Region XX champions, Chesapeake College. Under second-year head coach, Trey Livingston, this year the Raptors are ranked sixth in the NJCAA preseason polls.  

On August 27, the Raptors lost their first game of the season 4-0 on the road against the number nine nationally ranked Suffolk County College. The next day, the men's soccer team tied Queensborough Community College 1-1.  

Montgomery College opens up their home season at the Germantown SoccerPlex hosting the 3rd Annual Tom Bichy Soccer Tournament September 3 through 5. The tournament features the NJCAA National Champs Nassau (#1), Camden County (#4) and Bunker Hill (#2). The MC Raptors will play Camden County on September 3 at 1:15 p.m., Nassua Community College on September 4 at 12:15 p.m. and Bunker Hill on 9/5 at 1:30 p.m.  

The Raptors men's soccer team will look to defend their Region XX Title as team builds on their success from last year. The team ended the 2015 season with a 2-0 win over Bergen College in a consolation game of the NJCAA DIII National Tournament, finishing with a record of 15-6-1.
