Raptors Men's Basketball Hold-off General's Second Half Surge to Improve to 5-0

Vince Rose scored a season-high 23 points, shooting 55% from the field and made four of seven from deep as Montgomery men's basketball defeated DII opponent Sullivan County Community College Generals 82-73 on Saturday.

Freshman Donald Brewer scored 18 points and made all four of his free throw attempts for the Raptors Paul Garcia and Marcus Driscoll came off the bench to deliver a dozen points each and combine for eight rebounds.

Eli Arnold added 9 points while sophomore Freddie Harris pulled down 11 rebounds and Jonathan Kamana had ten rebounds.

The Raptors built up a 14-point lead at halftime 46-32 and Montgomery made a strong defensive stand to hold off the General's second-half surge to remain a perfect 5-0 on the season.

The Raptors play Anne Arundel Community College on Tuesday, November 20th at 7:30 pm at the Rockville campus. When the team returns from the Thanksgiving break, they will travel to Garrett College on Thursday, November 29th for play their second conference game on the road to wrap up the November bill.
