Vince Rose scored a game high-high 22 points, but the Montgomery College men's basketball team fell in the quarterfinals of the NJCAA Region XX Division II Tournament 101-59 to Community College of Beaver County.
Raptors Earn No. 7 Seed in Region XX DII Men's Basketball Tournament

The Montgomery College Raptors will represent the No. 7 seed in this year’s Region XX DII Men’s Basketball Tournament with an overall record of 13-12 and 5-5 against Division II regional opponents. The Tournament will be hosted at Cecil College in North East, Md. March 8-10.
Men's Basketball Starts January with Three Wins as Conference Contests Approach

The Raptors men's basketball team picked up wins over Hagerstown, CCBC Catonsville and College of Southern MD to start the second half of their season. On January 5th, the MC Raptors held on to down Hagerstown CC 73-68 in the first game of 2019. Vince Rose dropped 17 of his 28 points in the second half while Paul Garcia finished with 13 points and Charlie Ali netted 11 points to go along with 9 boards. Jonathan Kamana recorded 11 rebounds and 4 blocks and Freddie Harris grabbed 10 rebounds as Rose and Ali each pulled down 9 rebounds in the 5-point conference win.

Steve Hobson coached basketball at Germantown and at Rockville during his 29 years at Montgomery College. Former players, fans, and friends will gather at the Rockville Campus Physical Education Center Friday, December 7, to recognize Coach Hobson’s career. Coach Keith Byrd is organizing a celebration for Coach Hobson at 6 pm in the Small Gym, followed by halftime honors when MC hosts the Community College of Allegheny County at 7 pm in the Main Gym.

Vince Rose scored a season-high 23 points, shooting 55% from the field and made four of seven from deep as Montgomery men’s basketball defeated DII opponent Sullivan County Community College Generals 82-73 on Saturday.
MC Raptors Men's Basketball Team Announces Interest Meeting & Team Tryouts Dates

The Montgomery College Raptors men's basketball program will hold an interest meeting on Wednesday, September 12th, at 7:00 p.m. on the Takoma Park Campus in Falcon Hall Gym. This meeting is for current MC students only, currently enrolled for the 2018-2019 academic year. Students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours to be eligible for the upcoming season.
