Raptors Men’s Basketball Move Up to Third in MDJUCO with 81-77 Victory Over Allegany College of Maryland

Coming off a heartbreaking defeat to Erie Community College 84-82 in the Championship Game of the MC Holiday Tournament, the Raptors men's basketball team rebounds to end the 2017 calendar year on a winning note defeating Prince George's Community College (10-4, 2-2) 83-78 on Wednesday, December 20th. Collin Turner recorded a game-high 38 points, and Carl Brown came off the bench to record his third career double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds. Afanna Offor contributed 12 points and six rebounds in the 5-point victory over the cross-county conference rivals.

On Saturday, January 6th the Raptors move up to the MDJUCO standings as they took down Allegany College of Maryland (12-1, 3-1) 81-77 who came into the matchup second in the conference. Turner leads the way with 30 points, Shekinah Mondoua scored 15 points, Freddie Harris added 12 and Afanna Offor tallied 10 points in the 4-point victory to move Montgomery into the third spot in the MDJUCO standings.

The Raptors men's basketball team is 4-1 in the MDJUCO and 12-3 overall. Montgomery's next game is on Monday, January 15th at 7:30 p.m. against Westmoreland County Community College.
