Men's Basketball Dominates Butler and Westmoreland

The Montgomery College men's basketball team bounced back from a nine-point loss against Baltimore City CC this past weekend when the team went on the road and got two 30+ point wins against Butler County CC and Westmoreland College this past weekend. 

On Saturday, MC defeated Region XX opponent Butler County Community College 99-66. MC dominated the first half scoring 56 points while they held BC3 to 29 points midway through the game. Freshman point guard Chris Johnson recorded a game high 29 points with 4 assists for the Raptors shooting 57% from the field, making 3 of his 5 shots from deep. Patrick Smith finished with 14 points, 12 rebounds, 6 blocks and 5 steals while shooting 100% from the free-throw line for Montgomery. Collin Turner came off the bench to contribute 13 points and 6 steals to help his team secure the 33-point victory. 

The next day the Raptors wrapped up their road trip with a 104-73 victory over Westmoreland College. MC Captain Juwan Wayne scored a game high 21 points with 5 rebounds, shooting 88% from the field. Freshman Anthony Thomas scored 16 points and had 7 steals while teammate Turner added 15 points in the Raptors 31-point victory. Everyone that suited up scored at least four-points on the two game road trip to PA.
