Darren Prebble Receives NJCAA DIII Baseball ABCA/ Rawlings Gold Glove Award

Germantown, MD - Sophomore outfield Darren Prebble, a McDonogh School graduate, has been selected as a 2018 NJCAA DIII Baseball ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove recipient as determined by the NJCAA Division III Baseball Committee and Rawlings as the nation's top defensive outfielder. Prebble had a fielding percentage of 1.000 for the 2018 season in 43 games played. Prebble registered 56 putouts and three assists during the season, without recording a single error over the course of the season.

With his junior college eligibility ends and earns his degree, Prebble will join the Limestone College Saints, an NCAA Division II school in Gaffney, SC to pursue a bachelor degree and play out his final two seasons.

Prebble is the eighth Montgomery College baseball player to receive this award since the award was founded in 2007. Past Montgomery College ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove recipients include Jesen Pupa (2007), Nick Franceski (2008), John Wagner (2010), Jake Taylor (2013), Tyler Coleman (2014), Mitch Spille (2015), and Harry Thomas III (2016).
