Raptors Baseball Finishes 2nd in Region XX Tournament and Fourth in MDJUCO; Four Raptors Receive Postseason Honors

The Raptors baseball team finished their 2018 season fourth in the MDJUCO with a conference record of 14-12 and an overall record of 29-18. Four Raptors received post-season NJCAA DIII All-Region honors, Ryo Fabre, Clayton Dwyer, and Michael Hovermill were named First Team All-Region and Austin Grass was selected as an All-Region Honorable mention. Clayton Dwyer was the only Raptor to receive an All-Maryland JUCO selection as he was named an All-Maryland JUCO Baseball Honorable Mention. 

The Raptors season ended in the NJCAA DIII Region XX championship game after falling to the Prince George's CC Owls 8-2. The Raptors reached the championship game by way of the constellation bracket, as they dropped their first game of the tournament against the Owls 10-0. MC went on to edge out CC of Allegheny County-Boyce 5-2 and defeated Westmoreland County CC Wolfpack 14-8. 

Darren Prebble, Austin Grass, Harold Marte were selected to the 2018 All-Region XX Tournament Team. 

The Raptors finished with a home record of 16-5 and an overall winning percentage of .617. The team finished the season with a .302 batting average, a .426 on-base percentage and 18 home runs. Freshman Will Burgess led the team with six home runs, 44 runs, 34 RBIs and 20 extra base hits this season.
