Coach Rascher Eclipses 400th Career Win as MC Raptors Baseball Team Is Soaring Through April Winning Eight of 12

The MC Raptors baseball team is soaring through April winning eight of their last 12 games only halfway through April. The Raptors 12-11 thrilling win against Frederick on April 10th marked Coach Rascher's 400th victory as coach of MC baseball. This is quite an achievement for a Division III team playing the majority of games against higher division teams. This is his 13th year as head coach at MC with an average of 31 wins per year.

On Sunday, April 8th MC picked up a pair of wins at home against Stevenson University JV 9-1 and 10-9 and then defeated visiting Frederick Community College on April 10th to stretch the Raptors home game winning streak to 11 games.

The Raptors dropped two games CCBC Catonsville, 4-3 and 12-2, as the team ran out of gas after playing seven games over a five-day stretch.

After a few days of rest, the Raptors went on the road and split with Community College of Allegheny County-Boyce winning the first game 18-6 and dropping game two 10-4. Darren Prebble accounted for two runs, 5 RBIs, and four hits in seven at-bats hitting two doubles on the day for the Raptors while Ryo Fabre had five hits with four runs and three RBIs. Jamil Canaan picked up his second win of the season pitching 4 2/3 innings allowing only four earned runs on eight hits with six strikeouts in the team's 18-6 victory in game one.

The Raptors finished their Pennsylvania road trip at Westmoreland County Community College where the Raptors battled back in both games to take home two wins 4-1 and 7-3. Raptors Billy Swanstrom picked up his second win in game one as he pitched five innings and gave up two hits and zero earned runs with three strikeouts. Teammate Joe Daley improved to 4-0 pitching five innings allowing five hits, three earned runs, and three strikeouts and Harold Marte was 3-for-3 with five RBIs to help the Raptors win game two 7-3.
